Was this easy to purchase over the internet?  I was thinking of ordering some peptides, but the sites I looked at said to call for prices.

It took a lot of hunting down. I am not suggesting anyone should take dermorphin; it is untested as a drug, and can be lethal in microgram amounts.

Seriously Hip, try Kambo, we will guide you through... If you had courage to do dermorphin, you have no problem with Kambo.

Thanks for the encouragement and support, Jox. It's much appreciated. A kambo session is on the cards at some point soon. I am focused on the dermorphin experiments for the moment though.

how long have you been taking it? Like a month by now? Tell us exactly how you administer it and how often.

Do you have lymph nodes problem or not? if yes did it change anything?

If you have body pain like flu like febrilas, did that change?

the sleep problem is "a problem". What do you do for that, is it ever present, or you sleep ok normally?

I have only taken dermorphin once so far. I took a single dose two weeks ago. Because I got this unpleasant anxiety psychosis side effect from dermorphin, I am not sure if I will take it again. I am still debating this with myself. However, dermorphin did improve many of my ME/CFS and anxiety disorder symptoms, and I think dermorphin might be a good treatment for ME/CFS (provided you don't get this bad anxiety psychosis side effect).

I don't have body pain or flu-like fevers, so I don't know if dermorphin would help these. I do have swollen lymph nodes (not painful though), but the single dose of dermorphin I took did not improve these lymph nodes.

I did not find any solution for the insomnia, but it was only relatively mild insomnia, not a major problem.

I took dermorphin by snorting 100 micrograms of it intranasally. Full details of how I was able to measure out and snort this precise and tiny amount are given as follows.

I bought 5,000 micrograms (mcg) of dermorphin powder from a chemical supplier (cost was $200). 5,000 micrograms is about the weight of 50 tiny grains of sugar.

To prepare this dermorphin for taking intranasally, what I did was mix my 5,000 micrograms of dermorphin powder with a second inert powder, in a ratio of 250:1, so that 25 mg of this powder mixture will contain 100 mcg of dermorphin. This then makes it easier to weigh out doses for snorting. For the inert powder, I used inositol (a B vitamin).

Because dermorphin is a opioid like morphine, it is easy to overdose on dermorphin and kill yourself of you take the wrong amount. As little as 1,000 mcg taken intranasally might kill you. So you need to know what you are doing, and you need to follow procedures with scientific accuracy.

I was concerned that if my mixture of dermorphin powder + inert powder (inositol) was not very well mixed, I might run the risk of snorting up an overdose of dermorphin, as a result of having a non-uniform mixture . It took this possibility seriously, and came up with the following system to mix the powers very thoroughly:

I placed my 5000 mcg of dermorphin powder, and 1245 mg of inositol powder, as two separate piles on the surface of a flat mirror. Then, to the dermorphin pile, I added 16 pipette drops of distilled water (about 1 ml of water), which turned my little pile of dermorphin powder into a tiny puddle of water on surface of the mirror. Dermorphin is highly soluble in water, and dissolved into these drops of distilled water immediately. I gave the water in this tiny puddle a good stir anyway, to make sure the dermorphin was fully dissolved in it.

I then pushed the adjacent pile of inositol powder into this tiny puddle of water + dermorphin, using a Stanley blade. There was just enough water to soak into the inositol powder and turn the pile of inositol powder into a damp sludge. I thoroughly mixed this damp inositol powder sludge, so that the inositol powder was evenly damp. This ensured that the dermorphin dissolved in the water was evenly soaked into the inositol powder.

Then, using the Stanley blade, I spread the damp inositol powder sludge very thinly over a large area (say 20 cm by 20 cm) of the mirror surface. I placed a weak fan next to the mirror to blow a very gentle breeze over this area of damp powder, in order to dry it.

After an hour or two, the powder seemed completely dry, and I used the Stanley blade to gather up this power into a pile. Just to be doubly safe, I mixed this pile of dry powder for while, using the Stanley blade.

So now I had 1250 mg of a perfectly mixed inositol + dermorphin powder combination. I placed this powder mixture in a small container for storage.

To administer dermorphin to myself intranasally, I just weighted out 25 mg of this powder mixture (I have a digital scales that measures down to 1 mg), and snorted it up the powder using a wide drinking straw. This 25 mg of powder mixture gives me a dose of 100 mcg of dermorphin.

Furthering Jox's Experiments With Kambo as a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Treatment

As Jox has explained, Jox found that kambo dramatically improved his chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms (you can read Jox's account of his kambo treatment for CFS here).

I wanted to see if taking pure dermorphin — one of the opioid compounds found in kambo — would have similar beneficial effects as a treatment for my own CFS (I have had chronic fatigue syndrome now for 8 years).

My thread here (on www.bluelight.ru) fully details my experience and methodology using pure pharmaceutical grade dermorphin as an experiment to treat my CFS. A summary of my experience is as follows.

Brief Summary of My Dermorphin Experience

I took a dose of 100 micrograms (mcg) of dermorphin intranasally, by snorting dermorphin powder which I had carefully diluted down 250:1 with a second inert powder.

Interestingly, there were virtually no physical or mental effects whatsoever arising in the period immediately following this 100 mcg dose of dermorphin (unlike kambo, which as we know, induces profuse vomiting, diarrhea and significant tachycardia minutes after taking it).

However, very noticeable effects did appear in the 3 days that followed my single dermorphin dose. These effects were:

Effects of a Single 100 Microgram Dermorphin Dose on my CFS Symptoms:

Positive Effects:

• My chronic inflammatory sinusitis disappeared.
• The constant sense of inflammation in my brain and head disappeared.
• Chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms such as the brain fog (mental confusion), sensory hypersensitivity (the horrible autism-like over-sensitivity to sounds, light, etc) were noticeably improved.
• My energy levels increased, but this was just a mild increase.
• My generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) symptoms disappeared (I have GAD as a comorbid condition with my chronic fatigue syndrome).
• A large patch of psoriasis I had on my leg for years substantially cleared up around 24 hours after taking the dermorphin, which was quite remarkable.
• After taking dermorphin my constantly cold hands and feet (bad blood circulation and vasoconstriction) became warm. So dermorphin seemed to temporarily improve my blood circulation, though this only lasted a day or so.

Negative effects from taking dermorphin:

• In the 3 days following my single dermorphin dose, I felt emotionally and intellectually a little "flat", especially the first day after taking dermorphin, but this mental flatness slowly wore off as the days went by. By contrast, all the positive effects of dermorphin seemed to actually increase as the days progressed.
• Some mild insomnia.

So for the first three days after taking this single 100 microgram dose of dermorphin, things were going quite well, and many of CFS symptoms were noticeably improved.

However, on the forth day after taking dermorphin things turned bad, as I developed a state of mild psychosis, with severe emotional flatness, which was very disorienting. I have experienced days with mild psychosis symptoms before (I have anxiety disorder, and mild anxiety psychosis is not uncommon in people with anxiety disorder). However, I had not had an anxiety psychosis attack for a long time, and dermorphin seemed to bring this anxiety psychosis back.

On the fifth day after taking dermorphin, most of these mild psychosis effects disappeared, and I was back to normal. But the good effects of dermorphin on my CFS also wore off by the fifth day, so it was back to square one at that point.

So the effects, both good and bad, of a single 100 mcg intranasal dose of dermorphin seem to last for around 4 days.

The unpleasant anxiety psychosis experience on the forth day was off-putting, and the general emotional flatness symptoms of dermorphin were not so nice. Though I think this bad experience may just be something particular to me, as I have had some mild psychosis symptoms before, due to my anxiety disorder, and I also suffer from a bit of anhedonia and emotional flatness in general. So these negative effects of dermorphin probably will not manifest in other people; they are probably just peculiar to me

So all in all, pure dermorphin may be a viable means of treating chronic fatigue syndrome for many people.

Dermorphin has the advantage of much easier administration than kambo: you can easily snort dermorphin, thus no skin burns are required; there is no nasal irritation at all during or after snorting dermorphin (unlike kambo, which is irritating to the nasal mucosa); and there are no adverse physical or mental effects at all when you take dermorphin — you don't really feel anything when you take a dose of 100 mcg of dermorphin (the beneficial effects of dermorphin on CFS only appear on the next and subsequent days).

Note

Note that dermorphin can cause fatal overdoses in microgram amounts, so you need to know what you are doing before experimenting with pure dermorphin, and you need to be able to measure out minute microgram doses very accurately, else you may accidentally kill yourself through overdosing.

Intranasal doses of around 500 mcg dermorphin have been used recreationally, and these higher dose levels apparently do have psychoactive effects. Doses above 1000 mcg will likely prove fatal (remember, dermorphin is an opioid like morphine and heroin, and the lethal dose is not that much higher than the therapeutic dose).

Note also that dermorphin is a compound untested and unlicensed for human use. Chemical laboratories that sell dermorphin do so on the understanding that it is not to be used for human consumption or for human research. Thus the details given here are for information purposes only, and I do not advise anyone to do what I did. That is my disclaimer.

This thread details my experience of snorting pure pharmacological grade dermorphin (dermorphin is one of the main active components of kambo). Note that dermorphin can cause fatal overdoses in microgram amounts, so you need to know what you are doing before experimenting with pure dermorphin.

OK, I just put a small portion of my kambo powder in the kitchen oven for 1 hour, in some aluminum foil, with the oven temperature set to 180ºC, in order to heat sterilize it.

Afterwards, I tried out this heat sterilized kambo powder by snorting around 1 mg of kambo into my nose. This was the same dose that I snorted before. What I found was that, compared to before, the kambo had lost about half its potency from being heated, in the sense that the red flushing to my face and skin was only about half as intense compared to when I took kambo before; and I did not experience any increase in heart rate this time. But the red flushing of the face and skin still lasted a good 5 minutes, so this heat sterilized kambo was working.

Conclusion: this approach of heat sterilizing kambo may work, and if you want to snort kambo, heat sterilizing may protect you from getting "frog's disease", but you would need to use probably double-sized kambo doses in order to make up for the loss of potency.

Thanks very much for writing that detailed account of your chronic fatigue syndrome recovery, Jox. It is quite amazing how quickly kambo seems to work for CFS — just two weeks!

I know that when CFS patients take antiviral drugs for chronic fatigue syndrome (antiviral drugs such as Valtrex, Famvir, Valcyte, Nexavir and oxymatrine), the health improvements obtained in these patients are usually considerably less than what you have achieved with kambo (and often those antiviral drugs yield no improvements at all). And with those antiviral drugs it usually take 3 to 6 months for the improvement to manifest.

Yet using kambo, you have manifested a really enormous improvement in your CFS symptoms within two weeks, which is quite remarkable. It seems that your improvement is virtually a cure for CFS (at least while you keep taking the kambo treatment on a once weekly basis). It is quite amazing.

Note: Jox's other threads on his kambo treatment for CFS can be found here: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

thank you for posting that warning KP and thus halts my snuff use of kambo LOL

yesterday i had taken many extremely small doses of kambo by nasal, my lip slightly swelled in 1 spot but is now back to normal and i am very glad to have this info about frogs illness and will proceed with the path of least danger to frog and self.

Sterilizing Your Kambo

My thoughts are that this "frog's disease", as the Indian's call it, may well be an infectious disease caused by some pathogenic microbes within the kambo.

One way that might prevent this frog's disease would be to sterilize your kambo snuff before you used it.

A simple method of sterilizing your kambo snuff would be DRY HEAT STERILIZATION.

The protocol for DRY HEAT STERILIZATION is just heating your sample to be sterilized to 170°C (340°F) for 1 hour. This dry heat destroys microorganisms by causing coagulation of their proteins.

To sterilizing your kambo like this, you could just wrap your powdered kambo snuff (or whole kambo stick) up in some aluminum cooking foil, and place this foil in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 1 hour. That should kill any nasty microbes that are in the kambo.

Another way to sterilize your kambo samples would be using gamma sterilization. This gamma irradiation is often applied to our food supply, and is completely safe (you can eat the food immediately after), and the gamma rays kill any and all nasty pathogens within the sample being irradiated. So that would ensure that your kambo was free of infectious pathogens. Though I am not sure if gamma sterilization services are easily available or cheap.

Of course, it might that some other non-infectious factor causes the frog's disease. For example, perhaps some toxins in the kambo affect the mucous membranes of the nose, and so you get some nasal symptoms. WIthout knowing what the symptoms of frog's disease are, it is hard to guess what type of disease it might be.

That 2 day kambo + Banisteriopsis caapi combination you take would be difficult to figure out. Goodness knows what is going on biochemically!

I take it you've tried melatonin for sleep.

I was using melatonin a lot at one stage. In general, my whole sleep cycle has gone crazy with my CFS; some times I am wide awake all night until dawn, and then sleep during the day. Then other times my sleep pattern changes, and I sleep during the night again. Some days I have insomnia, other days I sleep 16 hours straight. I am sure you must have the same type of craziness going on with sleep.

Has your sleep got better from the kambo treatment?

Did your other CFS symptoms improve from kambo too? Typical CFS symptoms are: memory problems and forgetfulness, brain fog, noise or light sensitivity, anxiety/depression. Did you have these, and if so, did these symptoms all improve or disappear on kambo?

I think you have made a remarkable discovery with this kambo treatment for CFS. If it works for other CFS patients too, it could be something of a major breakthrough.

I am a little wary about the full kambo trip. I get lots of anxiety disorder symptoms anyway as part of my CFS, so that leaves me in a bit of a nervous disposition sometimes. But I guess after you have done the kambo trip once or twice, you get used to it.

About the burns: it seems that you will have quite a lot of them after a while. I understand that you need to make around 5 little cigarette-sized burns for each kambo session you do. So if you do one kambo session per week, that gives 5 x 52 = 260 burns for the whole year! I guess that the old burns start disappearing after a few months (though I find that my wounds heal very slowly since getting CFS).

Incidentally, when you first started taking kambo, how long did it take before you started feeling better, and your CFS symptoms started going? From what I read  in your threads, it was a matter of a week or two. Is that right? Did you go from bedbound to heathy in a week or so?

Hi Hip,

I have hard time finding anyone on CFS/FM forums to be interested in treatments that are helping me so much.

I find your kambo treatment for CFS very interesting, Jox, and I definitely want to try this treatment myself. The only thing is I am a little apprehensive about doing the full kambo trip, which seems to be an intense experience. But I had an idea that I could try snorting just smaller amounts of kambo each day, rather than take the full kambo dose every week. Perhaps smaller but more frequent kambo doses might be equally effective? That was my idea, anyway.

I already took one small dose of kambo, snorting it into my nose, and within one or two minutes, I experience a mini kambo trip, which included lots of fast heart beats and bright red flushed skin lasting for about 5 or 10 minutes, but no vomiting or diarrhea at all. My nose was a little sore afterwards, because I think kambo irritates the mucous membranes in the nose. Recently, though, KP posted some information that snorting kambo can lead to what the Indians call "frog's disease", so now I am not so sure if snorting is such a good idea.

But I will ask you another thing. There is another benefit in doing Kambo + Banisteriopsis caapi, not at the same time though, first Kambo, then 2 days later, 100mg of Aya (no huasca).

What happened next was that I had spontaneous naps of 2 hours... This has been even more surprise to me. I could bring down my prescription sleep medications... Unfortunately, I have $ for the moment, but soon I will investigate this strange thing that happens. In my case I haven't been able to get any sleep of any kind without the medicine, in past 20 years, so this is even more revolutionary thing.

If you have any thoughts on this it will be appreciated, In this case however I would be interested to take MAOI, as prescritpion meds... since Aya is just a little to laborious to microdose, and expansive, yet for now I will stick to it.

Sounds like you have had more than one miracle!

I think I know why Banisteriopsis caapi gave you a nice sleep: in Banisteriopsis caapi there are three psychoactive substances that go by the names of harmine, harmaline and tetrahydroharmine. These three are all MAOIs, but more importantly, they are also all classed as harmala alkaloids, and harmala alkaloids are sleep inducers.

Banisteriopsis caapi is not the only plant that contains these three harmala alkaloids, Syrian rue seeds also contains them, so Syrian rue seeds might work for inducing a nice sleep too. In both cases, you have to follow a low tyramine diet before you take these plants, as I am sure you know, otherwise bad things can happen.

To quote this paper: "The most significant harmala alkaloid in Syrian Rue is harmaline. This extract has been of interest primarily for its use as a mild sleep-inducer. It has been postulated that harmala alkaloids have pharmaceutical significance as potential sleep inducers."

You can actually buy concentrated extracts or tinctures of harmaline, which should make it more convenient for you. See here: 1, 2, 3.

I hope that is of some help.

Hi Jox

I am a CFS patient myself, and would just like to clarify one point:

Am I right in understanding that, with your kambo treatment, you changed from being a bedbound CFS patient, that presumably was too deeply fatigued to get out of bed for most of the day, to a much healthier person that was able to go out of the house, and go about their normal daily business with only relatively minor symptoms and relatively minor fatigue levels?

Is that a fair and correct description of the improvements you attained from kambo?

Have you had any thoughts about why kambo works for your CFS, by the way? I mean in terms of biochemical explanations.

Thanks for posting that warning of  "frog's disease" KP (that  "frog's disease" warning can be found here).

It would be nice to know what the "frog's disease" actually is (or at least its symptoms); but I imagine that it is some sort of infectious disease, from a virus, bacterium, fungus or protozoan parasite that is contained within the dried kambo, which of course is the mucus from the frog.

Can anybody outline, even if only briefly, how to apply kambo using DMSO?

I have used DMSO in the past to carry vitamins across the skin and into my body, so I can give you a general idea on how to use DMSO.

DMSO is a clear oily liquid, and if you place it on your skin, it soon seeps across the skin and into your body. But DMSO is a unique liquid, and anything you dissolve into it beforehand tends to be carried into your body as the DMSO seeps across your skin.

(So make sure you don't have anything toxic on your skin that could get carried into your body by DMSO; I won't use DMSO just after spraying the garden with weedkiller, for example).

When I used DMSO to carry certain vitamins into my body, I just dissolved the vitamin powder in the DMSO beforehand, and then just splashed this solution onto my skin.

Note that pure 100% DMSO can irritate the skin a little, so most people dilute DMSO 50/50 with water, which prevents this irritation.

Make sure you buy medical grade DMSO, not industrial grade DMSO which can have contaminants in it.
