Journals / Ordeals / My first Kambo experience
« on: June 11, 2012, 12:57:21 PM »
I had my first Kambo experience and wanted to share it on this forum.

I need to point out that I flooded on Iboga 7hours later so
I can't report back the longer term effects.

I had alight meal the night before and then no food in the morning.  I drank a litre of water in advance until I was sure that I was properly hydrated. I then filled my stomach with some ginger tea just before the dots. At lunchtime my friend applied 5 dots. At this point it's worth mentioning that I am 6'7" and weigh 95kg (210 pounds) and generally quite resistant.

After taking it, my heart sped up a little, my skin turned pink and puffy, I started to get contractions in my intestines and light headed. However that's as far as it went. The cramping/contractions were unpleasant but ultimately not painful. About 15 mins into the xperience I fell asleep. I woke feeling fine but not particularly different.  About 3 or 4 hours I had a shit which emptied out my bowels. This was useful as it saved me having to do this during my Iboga flood.

Next time I will move onto 9 points, possibly 10, and take it from there. I'm glad that I didn't start with 3 as this would have been simply too light.

General Discussion / Buying Kambo in the UK?
« on: May 30, 2012, 05:06:33 PM »
Does anyone know of UK retailers of Kambo?

So far, I can only seem to find European vendors.

Thanks KP.

I've ordered:

Synaptolepis Kirkii (Kirkii), Calea zacatechichi (Dreamherb), Silene capensis (African Dream Root), and Ilex guayusa (Guayusa).  As long as my Kambo arrives by post, I'm going to start on Kambo soon (after having been microdosing on Iboga for 2 weeks), then I will take a mixture of all these herbs in my own 'Ubulawu mixture'.  Then once prepared, I'll flood on Iboga (that's another order I need to sort out ;))

I'll let you know how it all goes.  I'm keeping a diary of all this so I can recount in one major post one of these days.

I have been microdosing on Iboga and had a coupe of wonderful dreams that have given me a great deal of peace.  I want to mix the Silene Capensis with the Iboga (get more vivid dreams that I can recall), but I am also going to purging on Kambo.  Do you think these can all be mixed up safely?

I've heard from KP very recently on another board that sniffing Kambo might be an option.  Can you perhaps enlighten us on that KP?

Wow, an hour and a half!  That sounds a long time.  Most reports I've heard about go from 15-30mins, max an hour.  You really must be pushing it to the max.  Makes me wonder though just how these Peruvian/Brazilian tribesmen take over 100 dots!

By the way, I have read that vomiting black means that there is blood mixed into the vomit - perhaps due to a tear in the oesophagus given how much you've been vomitting (1.5 hours is brutal), but perhaps blood from the upper intestines due to an ulcer (coming through the pyloric sphincter into the stomach and out through of the mouth).

Thanks KP, I'll be getting in touch with Giovanni Lattanzi in due course.

Anxiety is currently an issue, and depending on what I'm doing in life, it is more or less important.  It will be interesting to see how Kambo helps me in that regard.  I'm likely to be doing an Iboga flood soon after cleansing on Kambo so I'm hoping the combination will wipe away all anxiety and especially a phobia of public speaking.

Peace

Welcome Humble Bee,

If it's addiction you are talking about, then you should definitely look at Kambo combined with Iboga.  Iboga is well known as an addiction interrupter and there is a lot of information out there about it.

I think any normal human being needs to rebalance in today's world.  Our mind receives so much information, especially in the artificial world we live in, that bringing it into balance and strengthening it with entheogens like Kambo is a responsible and wise thing to do.  Good luck!

Wow, faint with the severity of it.  That would probably freak out anybody, especially any inexperienced person, or their inexperienced sitter who would immediately phone the ambulance service!  How long do you pass out for?  Is it literally a few seconds or can you be out cold for a while?

Thanks for the advice.  I've seen people on Youtube doing it and they seem terrible but they survive the ordeal fairly well.  I'm thinking of doing 3 dots to start with, and adding a couple if it doesn't have the desired effect.  I know you said 5, but you are super hardcore KP!

By the way, I was watching Bruce Parry doing this in the rainforests of Brazil with the Matis and they gave him multiples of 2 dots.  Got me thinking that maybe two dots on each arm (in the meridien points) might be a good idea.  Bruce didn't respond much to the first two dots so they gave him another two, but the next two were on the side of his abdomen!

KP, a question for you.  You advocate using as many Kambo dots as possible to get a deep, long lasting effect, yet you said that you do it regularly, at one point you were doing it every week.  Surely if you are doing a deep cleanse, you can do it infrequently as the effects last several weeks.  What are your thoughts on this, and how long do the effects last for you?

I think it is useful to understand the basic science of hydration.

You can drink a litre of water 10 minutes before the Kambo, and still be dehydrated.

To be hydrated at a celluler level, it is recommended that you drink thoroughly at least an hour before.  The way you know whether you are properly hydrated is to look at your urine - it should be light, almost clear.   If there is any yellowness in it, you are not completely hydrated (the yellow in your urine are dead blood cells).

So this leads me to a question.  When you mention being hydrated, do you mean that one should be hydrated at a cellular level or in the sense of having water in one's stomach and intestines so the vomitting is less painful?

What is Kambo aka Sapo? / Re: Venom or Ointment of Love?
« on: May 12, 2012, 10:13:16 AM »
Many of the best things in life are 'poisons'.  The active ingredient in cannabis is an insecticide for example, and even the good stuff in broccoli is a poison for insects.  It is all about dosing.  As someone mentioned on another forum, even water is a poison if taken in the wrong dose.

43
Many thanks KP, I have now put an order in for some Kambo and will be doing this in about 10 days time.

I will try applying my dots to the meridien points on the back of my upper arm and see how it goes.  I won't have anything to compare it too but will let you know my experience.

Thanks for all the great info, specially the one about not thinking about it.  The mental/psychological aspect of entheogens is often overlooked and it is incredibly useful to have guidance about this.

Hi all,

I wanted to say hi and introduce myself.  I am a healthy 30 something year old from Europe.  I used to be constantly tired, get ill, had irritable bowel-like symptoms and generally lacked drive and motivation.  One day I started taking supplements with B vitamins and ginseng and found they made a big difference within a couple of days.  This started me down the road to a healthy lifestyle that now sees me eating a mainly vegetarian diet (seafood occasionally), with little chocolate, little bad fats, little alcohol, no smoking, and twice weekly exercise.  I still have intestinal problems every now again but nothing close to what I used to have.  As an aside, since eating honey on a daily basis, I get virtually no colds any more.  I am healthy and happier.

Having said that, I have issues from my past which mean that I am not good at public speaking and get anxious, which is stopping me from reaching my potential.  I am starting down the route of entheogens to help me get past these tricks of the mind and reach wisdom - my central goal in life.

I believe that Kambo is a sacred medecine that will help me.  At the beginning I will be asking questions, and eventually will start reporting my experiences.

I would definitely be interested to hear how your treatment works out Jox.  I have a friend who has fibromyalgia and would love to recommend something positive to him.

By the way, pumping ozone into you system sounds a terrible idea.  It's a well known source of free radicals and must ravage the body.  I wouldn't recommend anyone trying this.
