- two litres

General Discussion / Re: Help with KAMBO and Sourcing

I also doubt he is making anything up, only i belive this "acupuntural" criteria is not well substantiated. He is for sure convinced  to have found something special and this is also  improving the esclusiveness of his treatments and seminars, justifying the high prices.

Good to hear your trials on the meridians were successful.

I have another idea instead.
Given that the Medicine is carried around the body by the limphatic vessel, it would be important to improve the limph circulation. This is linked  mainly  to hydration, but
limph has not a pump, as heart to the blood.  Or better: it has a pump, indirectly, it is in first instance  the respiration;  obviously also the movement, the muscular activity, is another way to have the limph flowing ( Tai Qi for example is a perfect tool for that). But Qi movements are not suitable after a Kambò application and respiration can be controlled only for few moments before the application,  then one is  overwhelmed by the body-load.
A little trick that is possible to use for the purpouse of improving the limphatic circulation is  like the "gorilla pride" expression:  it is  the movement of punching  the own chest above the pectoral muscles and below the shoulders, with vigorous strokes: this area is  in fact linked to the pulmonary  activity  and is the main location in the body to stimulate the limphatic stagnation. BTW this massage is used in EFT and or during  the preliminary exericises in  Aikido.

I'm too - as you know - on the DIY side.

hmm, this story of using acupunture points was INVENTED by Lattanzi out of nowhere, but if this is really useful has been  yet to be proved and explained what theory it applies. I personally don't give at  the moment much credit to this criteria. On the contrary i think there is the issue that burning the meridians could compromise the flowing of Chi energy.
Really I DON'T KNOW, but I would suppose  Lattanzi developed this original shape to sell better his stuff .

yes  Hip, I agree with your arguments: the burning dots method is a very smart solution to the many variables that kambò intake has to face.

It's said that the frog save its life releasing its secretion in the fauces of snakes: so we can argue that mouth's  mucoses are suited to absorb well the medicine.

EDIT: But the collateral problem would be that vomiting one risks to expell easily also the kambò he keeps in the mouth.

Happy to have you here, Peter.
This forum would not exist without your long time precious  work and so much people never could felt in love with kambò.
Thank you for joining.

Sapo fast ... !? Do you mean that during those days you abstain from food ?

The diameter of the burns is another variable one can control,  in different circumstances: i never saw  tamishi but I suppose it comes probably in different sizes. Do you think there are some criteria to use for example many  tiny dots instead than few larger ones ?

Good to ear you are back  safe and clean.

Yes, INNOCENCE ! this is another great gift  kambò  always gives, that feeling to discover the nature of a pure heart.

As for the dark gel, I don't know what it is but I recall that Ehret at the begin of '900 wrote  "The degree of dirt inside the average individual is something unimaginable"

Diet before and after / Re: hydration is key for the full experience
« on: April 17, 2012, 08:11:54 AM »
I agree on hydration, but for what i have read in these years on kambò, this idea to drink water is not in the natives' tradition. The reports I read speak they eat a soup or broth of manioca, preferibly.
Manioca (also known as cassava,  tapioca, mandioca, yucca) is a palatable white tuber  rich mostly in carbohydrates.
Someone has more precise infos on the traditional recommendations ?

However I think that vegetal juices are more suitable  to hydrate than water, at least if this water is NOT very pure and light, without minerals in solution, because these minerals are in the inorganic form and they tend to obstruct and  engage the body in a further process of elimination. The organic water of fruits and raw herbs is instead rich of minerals in ionic form, easy to absorb by kidneys and mucoses, contributing to a good electrolytic balance and support to neurons and organs.

To drink too much water in a short time is not  very safe as commonly thought.
I feel one liter in my belly is enough to be tolerable, more creates discomfort.
And in every case i suggest it's better to drink water in small sips.
