Brilliant to hear. Its been over 2 months since you made this thread, do you still have these heightened energy levels?

Thanks for sharing! IIRC you quit the opioids after 7 years, this is amazing.

Your pioneering approach and attitude towards all this is a massive inspiration to me. I intend on following in your footsteps. I've always had a profound reverence for entheogens (perfect word for these substances IMO) but since you enlightened me about kambo, my respect for and faith in the entheogens of the natural world has reached peaks far beyond anything I'd previously experienced.

Diet before and after / Eating beforehand

I'm thinking of doing kambo for my first time in the morning. Should I avoid eating breakfast and instead just drink a large amount of water?

Diet before and after / Re: hydration is key for the full experience

How much water should one drink before the experience? I heard in the Kambos Kiss interview that one should drink around 2L of water before the experience. Thats a serious amount of water, should you drink all that right before the experience, i.e. within an hour before applying the kambo?

Application / How to apply via the burning method
« on: August 12, 2012, 04:59:39 PM »
I heard in the Kambos Kiss radio interview that the way they do it in the jungle is they use a vine thats a lot like incense to make the burns. Would incense itself work or do you need something that burns hotter? How do you know if the burn is sufficient? In this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKH1O7y8WXA
after the shaman burns his arm, he picks at the burns with his fingers. The English guy says "he opened a wound". Is the idea there to pick off some of the layers of skin?

Secondly, I'm wondering how to apply kambo sticks. In that video, it looks like they put the venom (its solid and white so I'm guessing its mixed with something) on the end of a knife and apply it so it sticks to the burns. For my first time, I will be using a kambo stick though. Do I need to wet the stick or the burn so that some of the kambo can dissolve? I have not yet seen one of these kambo sticks but I'm wondering how to gauge the amount one applies with one of these sticks.

Introductions / Re: unCURABLEme
« on: August 11, 2012, 02:18:50 PM »
Thanks for the update! Brilliant to hear that you can now live your life again. Looking forward to reading your full report. You're not only cured, but you now have the ability to help cure others who are stuck in similar seemingly hopeless situations. Whether its a full cure or not, you're on the path to a full recovery. Giovanni Lattanzi said that kambo greatly remedies his symptoms (which were caused by a viral infection) but did not completely cure the problem. He says it was iboga (or the combination of the two) that completely cured him.

Yeah, keep us updated. Have you tried iboga and/or ayahuasca? I have a problem with drowsiness myself, I can't imagine how bad it must be to have chronic fatigue syndrome like you described.

Acupuncture & Acupressure / Re: Locating Meridians

Yeah, once I cure this drowsiness problem (which is a massive hindrance for reading) I'm going to gain an in depth understanding of all this. The acupuncturist I'm seeing at the moment checked my pulse with her fingers and automatically knew all kinds of things that were wrong with me. She knew I had asthma, trouble concentrating, bad short term memory, drowsiness etc. She even knew I grew up beside the sea. She says that people with this particular type of pulse have an energy imbalance. I'm gonna get her to elaborate on that so maybe she'll tell me what meridian to focus on with kambo. I doubt shes even heard of kambo, this all seems to be pretty revolutionary stuff. I definitely will tell this to Gio because I have a strong desire to help others with it because it pains me to see so many people suffering and this futile western medicine system being unable to help them. I instinctively know that Amazonian curanderos have capabilities far beyond what can even be comprehended with ordinary western logic.

When you say auricular kambo, do you mean applying kambo to the ear? I looked up the word and found some pages about auricular acupuncture which focuses on points on the ear.

General Discussion / Re: Does kambo contain an opiate?

Sorry I meant deltorphin is the potent delta opioid agonist, not dermorphin.

Who can and can't do Kambo? / Re: Kambo and opiate receptors + SSRI
« on: August 09, 2012, 09:47:37 PM »
I strongly suspect it will cure PAWS. I think thats what Giovanni was referring to, not acute w/d symptoms. As for the burns, you could easily disguise them with some kind of cosmetic. Look into what people use to mask scars.

I have no problem with the burning method but the location I'm going to do it in is extremely windy (by the beach) so I'll have a hard time using a lighter. I suppose a blowtorch lighter will work though. That brings up another question. Can you cause the burns an hour before administering the kambo or does the kambo have to be administered directly after the burns are made. Also I wonder about grazes and cuts. Would too much kambo be absorbed through an open wound and thus, cause an overdose?

You should listen to Giovanni Latannzis interview on Ibo Radio:
http://ibo-radio.com/?page_id=686
he claims that when some people take kambo, their opioid withdrawal symptoms immediately stop.

I have a bottle of DMSO (dimethylsulfoxide) on me so I'm going to try that route after I try the conventional route. For anyone who doesn't know, DMSO opens up the skin pores and allows drug compounds to be ingested through the skin.

Acupuncture & Acupressure / Re: Locating Meridians

Thats what I suspected. This is pretty much unchartered territory. Do you become aware of the meridians whilst on kambo? I'll ask Giovanni about all this when he gets back from holidays and when I meet him in person. In my opinion, this is all science. Real science. Learning from experimentation. Not the dogmatic bullshit that many so called scientists restrict themselves to. I'm a chemistry student and what makes me excel in coming up with new concepts is my ability to think laterally. I have all sorts of ideas for new inventions, I just need to get into a research lab so I can start putting them into practice. You're all pioneers of an unexplored field which I believe holds immense potential and will drive humanity into a whole new paradigm. Soon chemistry will become alchemy again. Al being the Arabic word for God, spirituality and science are part of the same thing. Some day when humanity has reached an adequate level of enlightenment, these two fields will remerge.
