Complementary Modalities / Re: Warts: what they are and how do I remove?
« on: August 10, 2013, 08:37:37 AM »
I got rid of mines temporarily using apple cider vinegar.  Used a cotton ball and a few drops of ACV and taped it on, I kept on reapplying ACV if the bandage got dried.  After a few days my wart turned a white moist color, then after it dried it turned black like scab and fell off a week later....

btw I had genital warts, from what I understand caused by the HPV virus.  it was tiny on the shaft on the penis and elsewhere.  wart went into remission for like a year an came back...did the same treatment...and about the same amount of time it is back.

you could go to a doc's office and freeze a wart using nitrogen, tried that once but the ACV solution seems to be the cheapest most feasible method.

good luck!

Energy Cleansing (Treatment for "Panema") / Re: What is panema?
« on: May 10, 2013, 08:16:55 PM »
Does anyone else have examples how Kambo helped clear their panema?  I'm dealing with lots of procrastination on simple tasks what you could call laziness, if you read how the tribes do it to motivate one to not stay in your hammock all day, once a month I read.  I find myself to have to isolate myself from my home to get rid of distractions music, internet, napping.  I get a bit depressed and wonder if Kambo will help.

Physical Cleansing and Healing of Illnesses / Re: CFS FM and ME
« on: May 06, 2013, 12:03:09 PM »
Jox have you ever been able to take a full blown dose of caapi plus DMT plant brew?  We also used syrian rue which was a cheaper MAOI.  I participated in a few aya ceremonies, not in a jungle but in a studio setting with other people and usually the day after I had a good afterglow lasting 1-2 days.  I suffered fatigue off and on from HIV but it didn't get worse until my infection progressed.  I am utterly shocked how debilitating CFS is from the way you are describing it, for something that is not very well understood what the underlying cause is.  It sounds like a virus is causing all that.

For teas I tried the various caffinated herbs:  green tea, yerba mate, guarana.  I even tried decoconized coca tea, but not enough to gauge the effects.  But the one that stood out for me was guayusa.  It was very sustained energy and no crash.  Usually caffeine from various sources gives me a 1-3 hour max productive period and I usually crash or start feeling tired again.  I don't know why the caffeine effect in guayasa is different, but most reports I read people describe the same thing.  It just works better.  Some tribes use guayusa as a purging agent by drinking large amounts.  I'd like to try coca if I could get the full leaf effect, it's not legal to sell it with coca in the US.

Look here for a good list of anti-virals
http://kambo.me/smf/index.php?topic=203.msg996;topicseen#msg996

load up on a few of good quality.
Juice some fresh fruits and veggies. Get those elemination pathways open. liver flushes, enemas.
And heal yourself  :)

Thanks PC, good list there.  It took me some time to check that out.  8)

I ran out of Reishi mushroom extract and for about 2 weeks I was going back to feeling fatigued during the day and craving a nap.  I found a bottle of unused Cordyceps from Mushroom Wisdom that my dad left and started taking that.  Within a day I was feeling normally awake and the cold I started to get was clearing up.  I was utterly in disbelief how good I felt that I looked up the benefits of this mushroom and found it was used in sport endurance and even in a formula in Ghana for HIV patients (all patients had boosted CD4 counts, viral loads where not tested) http://www.immune247.com/Antiviral%20Agent.pdf (intent to treat study) Somewhere else I read that it reduced viral loads to undetectable but I need to look into that further.

Yesterday I kinda forced myself to take a nap after going out and picking greens with my mom and woke up feeling that nap wasn't really necessary, started cleaning up my room that I put off the whole month!  This stuff is a good 'panema' cleanser.  I'm curious if any CFS people out there tried any mushroom formulas and what there results where.

One thing about Kambo that I read and should be reminded of was that the shamans pick the frogs from the wild.  I saw on the video that the healer says the frog eats plants and insects which contribute to the healing properties of the venom.  Which makes me think if I raise up the White tree frog the peptides in the skin might not be there.

Oh yeah started juicing greens again so I'm looking forward to get my blood tests and feeling more confident in taking the risk of dropping the Meds and going all natural.

good to know, caiano.  Lignans are in many grains and fruits, it is just that flax has the highest concentration.  Well I did some more research, seems the flax seed lignans research is coming from just one organization, the one I mentioned above.  However it doesn't sound like they have any commercial interest in this natural product since they aren't pushing a product.  They just want to a feasible solution to people who can't afford it.  According to the interview I heard, a teaspoon of properly extracted flaxseed lignans (MCP process) has the amount found in 2 gallons of seed.

I checked some general info on lignans and found out that is good for bone health, the heart, and has anticancer activity, as well as antifungal

For HIV health, the virus is found in high concentrations in the intestine mucusa and lymph nodes and lignans work with gut bacteria to provide the benefits, so something must be happening there.  I haven't seen any science on why that is happening although a quick search on Pubmed cites lignans as having anti-HIV activity.

On Kambo, if it flushes out the intestines and lymph nodes as well as kill the virus, this would be excellent to complement.  Basically my goal is to find some thing cheap and natural to reduce my viral loads to undetectable without staying on the pharmaceutical drugs.

Just finished listening to an interview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGFlYL3mWIA ,
DAY 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tg6rCpPC6C0 and it's all anecdotal evidence although the organization claims its done small studies in about 100 people.  But the lady says viral loads are undectectable to very low and in the case of a couple children no HIV antibiodies could be found after 2 years, she does not say it is a cure but finds it very remarkable.

I did a bunch of research on natural supplements and foods, many of it inconclusive.  This is a complicated virus.  I'm not sure what to believe except my own body and how its feeling, and the test results.  I'm still on the Pharma meds, feeling good, but unsatisfied with taking a chemical that is needed every frickin day!  I only have some bad nightmares about twice a week which is a side effect of one of the meds.

Some of the supplements I researched:

EGCG (in green tea)
curcumin (turmeric)
melatonin (found in cherries, but cheap as supplement)
coconut oil

very interesting results by an immunologist/virologist's blog on HIV in a mouse.  Apparently mouse models are pretty good indicator of what happens in humans.  That lead me reading several hours into this blog ~ 'hiv site:www.infoisus.com/naturalhealtharchives/ ', going on a wild goose chase with later entries casting some skepticism on the hiv protocol used.  Finally some interesting research on flax seed lignans which I found some organization is using this in Africa since flaxseed is cheap especially for underdeveloped countries.

So basically lignans can reduce viral loads to undetectable in the studies done by that organization.  I'll have to do some more research on this though, it's just been an hour of reading.  But hell it took me so long to get to. http://www.aidshivawareness.org/flax-hull-programs

For those not on any pharmaceutical anti-virals such as wonderfrog, you might want to look into this.  I imagine you can just buy flax seed and grind it into a coffee grinder, flax seed oil does not contain lignans.

Anways to get back on topic, I did find the local Petco sold Litoria caerulea (Australian White Tree Frogs) for 20 dollars, tiny ones.  There is an AIDS organization that is investigating the properties of the peptides.

I'm gonna add flax to my diet in the meantime and get my blood drawn in a month, so by that time I'll decide whether to drop the meds soon and take Kambo or find some way to get other frog secretions.

Journals / Ordeals / Re: XXX one year after
« on: April 27, 2013, 11:11:12 PM »
I bought 5,000 micrograms (mcg) of dermorphin powder from a chemical supplier (cost was $200). 5,000 micrograms is about the weight of 50 tiny grains of sugar.

Was this easy to purchase over the internet?  I was thinking of ordering some peptides, but the sites I looked at said to call for prices.

I'm on Atripla, a 3 in one pill med.  Must be taken every day at the same time of day, a few doses skipped can lead to mutation of the virus and ineffectiveness, and go on a different combo.   90% of ppl who take this have undectectable levels of the virus 3-6 mo.

Nurses said I'd had to go on antibiotics for a year, but I only lasted 2 months because I just didn't feel like taking them.  Maybe I'm lucky or maybe it's the prayers of my family, relatives.  Wish I could do more testing, but I have to stick to something simple to get on my life after rehab.

Hello, just some more thoughts on this.  I was a denialist too, until I started to feel weak.  It took me 2 years, never got sick but I did try ayahuasca on a number of occassion which may have given me good health.  When i got my CD4 (t-cell) count, it showed that I had 10!  Less than 200 is dangerous, 300-600 is compromised, 800-1000+ is normal.  I was stubborn and said I wouldn't go on meds, but my only symptoms at that point were fatigue and not a full night of sleep.

The meds are the only proven way to reduce viral loads to 'undetectable', the machines can't count less than 20 virus particles in the blood.  Soon after the meds I started to sleep well and it took 2 months to look and feel normal, I added Life Extensions multi-vitamin with vegetable and fruit complex, and then reishi mushroom extract.  My CD4 started climbing up 43, 73....now with the supplements I will find in a couple weeks where my levels are at.  Viral load has been decreasing on a level that I should be undetectable soon...

So another thing I found out that honeybee venom, and scorpion venom has similar effects as the frog peptides.  The shamans were really up to something that science is now confirming.

The best that seems to be is a 'functional cure' by meds.  Taking it for a long time 2-3 years may lead to not needing meds anymore, despite the docs that told me id have to take meds every day for the rest of my life.

Baby 'cured', 14 out of 70 no longer need meds
http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn23276-more-hiv-cured-first-a-baby-now-14-adults.html

So the best I can do is do what I'm doing now, and add kambo after a few months.  Maybe the frog peptides will attack the virus at the 'hidden cells' while the meds work on the blood (works very effectively)

Other methods now are stem cell, gene therapy not feasible...so for now I'm doing very well.  Strange how I'm feeling so well when my CD4 is so slow, almost as normal.

As far as the price of meds, I feel guilty that the rest of the people pay for this burden, but the nurse says it is actually cheaper to give meds for free than treat a sick person in an emergency room at 2000/day.  Shows how messed up the healthcare is...

About 5% of the HIV infected are naturally resistant to HIV.  Rare 'elite controllers'.  Most develop symptoms within 5 years....

I get the best info by searching Sciencedaily, almost every week something very hopeful news pops up...

anyways my health update,
Bamaboy

Thanks lots of interesting applications which look like it would be part of a medicine cabinet.  Been doing some more reading on the White Tree Frog and found this interesting bit which makes it seem possible of making a peptide stick

"Waxy skin secretions, similar to that of frogs of the genus Phyllomedusa, help to prevent dehydration. And like these frogs, L. caerulea will smear these excretions all over itself to protect its delicate skin from the elements."

cool beans :)  looks like I'd be a guinea pig to try this out

Hello new to this forum, I found about this forum from reading the antimicrobial properties of kambo after finding out that I was diagnosed with HIV.  I know little about the disease other than what is conventially taught as prevention, so since I have not been on medication for any chronic condition all my life I searched for 'frog peptides' and hiv and found something interesting in one study that could be similarly true in the kambo medicine.

I am currently on pharmaceutical meds that work pretty well (Atripla), so far it works pretty well as far as no severe side effects.  I get vivid dreams, some wooziness, and the most visible is a pale colored rash on my face and neck.  I will continue my meds because it has proven to reduce the hiv viral loads to undectectable in patients.  The problem is that these meds cost approx $2000/mo and I'm only getting them because I'm in a rehab housing program, with no income so the state pays for the meds for now.

The meds stop hiv from replicating and infecting the t-cells and slowly allows the immune system to rebuild.  I was told by the social worker and nurse that adherence to the drug everyday is crucial for working otherwise the virus can mutate and the meds stop working which id have to go on another med.

So eventually I am considering going off the meds after much contemplation, a risky move, because of some interesting properties of these frog peptides to not only kill the HIV virus but to go in the dendritic cell where it is hiding as a Trojan horse and disrupt it, thus making it more of a possible cure if it can be done within the whole immune system.

Dermaseptin in the P. bicolor frog secretion and only one study I found referenced in one study where it penetrated the dendritic cell, but not the more powerful peptides tested that showed 80-99% inhibited the HIV virus found in the c.  Interesting thing is that these two frogs look similar, both green and apparently the latter is a common 'pet frog' which makes me wonder if a 'frog peptide' stick can be easily created much like kambo is done.

Some interesting leads I found regarding all this.............

Antimicrobial Peptides from Amphibian Skin Potently Inhibit Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection and Transfer of Virus from Dendritic Cells to T Cells
http://jvi.asm.org/content/79/18/11598.full

ABSTRACT

Topical antimicrobicides hold great promise in reducing human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) transmission. Amphibian skin provides a rich source of broad-spectrum antimicrobial peptides including some that have antiviral activity. We tested 14 peptides derived from diverse amphibian species for the capacity to inhibit HIV infection. Three peptides (caerin 1.1, caerin 1.9, and maculatin 1.1) completely inhibited HIV infection of T cells within minutes of exposure to virus at concentrations that were not toxic to target cells. These peptides also suppressed infection by murine leukemia virus but not by reovirus, a structurally unrelated nonenveloped virus. Preincubation with peptides prevented viral fusion to target cells and disrupted the HIV envelope. Remarkably, these amphibian peptides also were highly effective in inhibiting the transfer of HIV by dendritic cells (DCs) to T cells, even when DCs were transiently exposed to peptides 8 h after virus capture. These data suggest that amphibian-derived peptides can access DC-sequestered HIV and destroy the virus before it can be transferred to T cells. Thus, amphibian-derived antimicrobial peptides show promise as topical inhibitors of mucosal HIV transmission and provide novel tools to understand the complex biology of HIV capture by DCs.

According to the graph on the full report, Dermaseptin (also found in P. bicolor aka kambo) inhibited the virus 40% which makes me wonder if repeated kambo treatments would have cumulative effects and since this is just one study what other peptides could be at work.

Glad to see the journals like Jox has set up, and am thinking of doing something similar once I can get my blood tests as a measure of my progress, this could be towards the end of the year.
