Sharing of the Healers / Re: Advice Requested
« on: July 12, 2014, 04:47:40 AM »
Thanks brother.  Things are bit rough for me right now as I'm having dental work done, but am really suffering from nerve pain, tonsilitis, and headaches. This is all rather sudden, it all seems interconnected.      To top it off, my work keeps me quite busy, and I'm getting ready to move soon too.  My brother whom I live with is going to be performing kambo on me this Monday, Mastes style.  I really need some good medicine.  We're aiming to apply points on my neck and along the large intestine meridian to hopefully provide some relief that I don't believe any doctor is going to provide in exchange for my hard earned monetary assets.  It's all a great learning experience.  I regret not getting in touch with some of you sooner, but please be patient; I have not forgotten.

That being said, I'm here to stay.  This is my life path, my commitment, my spiritual oath.  I look forward to getting to know you guys more, and exchanging wisdom, we have a lot to offer eachother and the world.

Thanks for being here! :)

Holy cow!  That's an awesome article, I knew of four thieves vinegar, allegedly used in the same way, for looting during the plague, but not the oils.  Thanks for this one!

Okay, so I believe I may have pinpointed the meridian I am having difficulty/congestion in:  Large intestine.  I have also two bad teeth, with cavities that have rendered these teeth unsalvageable.  A week ago, the dentist removed the decay, and put in cement.  He also put me on a round of antibiotics, which I'm strictly against but have decided it would be in my best interest to take and finish the rx. I haven't taken antibiotics in half a decade, whatever.  I plan on replenishing my gut with probiotics from different formats, kefir, kombucha, etc.  I had to go to the dentist because the nerve pain from the teeth was becoming unbearable and going into my ear, and my throat on the right side is sore, but not like a sore throat from a cold.  It is very possible that bacteria drained into my throat and my body is fighting it off.  Regardless of the details, the hows and whys, I think all of my symptoms are and have been indicative of congestion in this particular meridian zone.  I also have stiffness and mild pain on the right side of my neck.  Believe me, once I finish these bastard antibiotics, I'm going to dive into natural options and am considering doing kambo mastes style to clear this zone.  I think some e.o. applications for the meantime would be good.

Part of me wants to access the meridian point directly from the neck.  I'll let you know how this progresses.  Wish me luck on my personal exploration of the meridian zones and points.  I feel this is my personal work, to heal this part of my body that has been sending me signals that is needs attention.

I took a look here http://theamt.com/meridian_chart_and_map_of_meridians_meridian_points_acupoints.htm and found the zone with points exactly where I am having sensations/issues.

If someone has any suggestion for essential oils, I'm all ears.  I've got a variety in house, my brother and I collect different ones for different purposes.  I'm going to guess anything with antibiotic properties/relaxing will be good in this case.

I do want to invest in one of those acu-check devices, my brother was elated when he heard they exist.  My sister was asking if there was any sacrament that could be used to help actually see the meridians.  My guess is Kambo might let you see it if you're fortunate; also spirit tryptamine plants would probably be revealing as well.  I've heard some blind people can just feel them.  Makes sense.

Wow, thank you for sharing your experiences.  They're profoundly inspiring.

Hey guys, it struck me the other night... What about coca essential oil?  My mind is always thinking about crazy stuff.  I enjoy essential oils, and some as you know, are really hard to come by.  When I say what about it, what I really mean is... have you every thought about making some?  There's the old kitchen way of using a stockpot, bowl, lid and ice to condense oil from vegetable material.  I could see how such an oil could be useful topically, as so many others are.  Just a cool thought I wanted to share.  I've never seen it mentioned anywhere.  Please share your thoughts/insight on this.

I had my girlfriend apply the burns to my upper right arm.  I have kind of a 5 point star/flower marking now.

Although I did not have any difficulty walking to the bathroom, I did my session at a table very close to the bathroom.  I kept a bucket for purging, next to me during the session, but having been able to walk, I decided to attempt a purge in my bathroom; just seems to be the inclination.

I don't know that anyone would have difficulty walking, but it's possible.  Worst case scenario, you have a little cleanup to do.

I would recommend spacing your turns by an hour so you're in pretty good shape to watch the next person; at least the first time so you can ascertain how you respond.  Keep in mind there will be a need to evacuate the bowels, perhaps several times.  Long after I thought everything was out, what I thought was some flatuence turned out not to be, and into the shower I went.  I had 6 bowel movements, the last 3 were totally liquid.

Good luck to both of you!!! I have my next session in less than a week, and I'm proud of my kambo marks and courage to meet this sacred frog and receive healing sacrament.

General Discussion / Do you like to grow?
« on: June 21, 2014, 05:23:27 AM »
Happy First Day Of Summer Everybody!  Summer Solstice is upon us, and I've been reflecting upon the beauty and bountifulness of plants that we live in close relation with.  Plants are a part of nature I feel so intertwined with.  I imagine most people, if not all, here love and grow plants.  So what are some of your favorite plants and why?

Here's mine...

Morning glories (all kinds, especially I. volacea tricolor sisters, and I. alba moonflower). There are many entheogenic ones and are my absolute favorite flowers.  You can watch I. abla open its flower in real time.

Freesias - Plays tricks with your brain, now you smell me, now you don't.  Wtf awesomeness.

Cacti - Oh yes, one of my fav plant groups, I love the desert too.   Peruvian (Have some torches from Julio Icaros that are almost 2 yrs. Mexicans from elsewhere almost 2 as well.  And more Torches and Pedros outside. Cacti make me feel great and I love to be in their presence.

Tomatoes, Always such a delight to eat these fresh.

Other nocturnal moonplants like wormwood and fam, poppies, datura, brugmansia and many types that are solanaceous

Spices of all sorts, so many great healers in this category.

Well, I guess I love all plants and its hard to pinpoint all of them, lol, but the first two reign highest with me for flowers, and then cacti would be the next favorite plant group.

Some plants I want to get:

Peperomia's, let me know if you work with these!  They're used as an aya admixture and I'm confident they're very healing There's 1,000 species, one varietal is used as a substitute for cinnamon on the Canary Islands.  I wanna pick some up from Sacred Succulents and work with its spirit.

Banana Mint- Allegedly tastes and smells like candy banana .... Companion Plants (Great source for HBWR too, always fresh)

I would like work with the spirits of Khat and Eboka, this is a lifelong commitment with a least 5 years before fruits of labor can be enjoyed.  That's many a fruit trees for yah.

Kambo & Other Sacraments / Re: Mambe
« on: June 20, 2014, 05:13:14 AM »
I recently started working again with this healing plant.  It has been most helpful for relieving my post work fatigue, I work a lot on my feet, so I enjoy it most at this point during the day.  As a tea, I know I am receiving all the nutrition of the leaf, there is little central nervous system shock, as there is with coffee, and also less adrenal spikes.  This is a good thing, being very well balanced.  I think I'm able to get the most out of it by having the flour with a bit of llipta held in my mouth vs. making a flour tea (consumed whole).

I am now interested in using this only post kambo instead of usual coffee.  Coca would be a healthier choice for me as I fast from coffee.  I plan to cut out coffee altogether...eventually.  I would prefer to drink green/white tea plant tea in place of coffee as a daily stimulating beverage.

About the coca flour...I have this idea that I'm curious to apply to as many drinkable sacraments/medicines as I could find effective.  I am considering making an instant mate by boiling coca flour for a while, straining, and evaporating the filtrate.  Sounds like a delicious treat to me.  I would like to try with yerba mate as well for an easier format for hiking.  What to you guys think?

Hi Holybark,

Welcome, I have only one session under my belt, but I would like to make the following recommendations:
-Adhere to a 12 hour fast from food and salt ( 6 hour minimum was recommended here )
-Ensure you are properly hydrated by drinking plenty of water/real fruit juice
-Prepare for what your post app diet will be, even if its not for a while, it helps having a plan
-When you do your burns, make sure you remove the top layer of skin to provide good access for the medicine
-Consider doing a 1 dot allergy test and waiting an hour to ensure a healthy response
-I also recommend avoiding application during a full moon (worst), or during moon being void of course (caution).  It's said new moon is the best time possible.

I found myself dreaming a lot on the evening of the app, a full spectrum of emotions seemed to be brought to the surface from the myriad of dreams experienced.  Perhaps no one person can tell you exactly what to expect, it is like many experiences, highly subjective, but this is especially personal and spiritual as well as ineffable.

I hope you have a wonderful first experience, and look forward to hearing about it.

To be honest, before I saw the meridian and point applications I had a revelation in the shower that applying to the meridians would be helpful.  You can imagine my elation when I saw that this was indeed a viable practice.  I am not very familiar with the meridians but understand there are 10 zones/meridians running through the body on each side.  I have a lot of mucous production, not sure why, and when I get colds I always have more congestion in my right nasal passage.  I would like to apply kambo to some very intentional spots next session.  Could anyone with more experience suggest a specific point or meridian line to target based off this information?  I am studying diligently for the time being.  I have some foot reflexology information, maybe I could target from the feet, that would be interesting territory, and easier for me to target since I already have charts for that.

Do these cards show the physical location on the body as well??? That would be important to me in wanting to acquire these cards. I did not see it mention location identification.

Who can and can't do Kambo? / Re: Snake Bite Antidote
« on: June 17, 2014, 04:34:17 AM »
You know, this is a really fascinating proposition.  I was talking to my girlfriend about this.  Sometimes I'm surprised I don't annoy her with all my Kambo and sacrament talk, it's like 95% of my dialogue.  Lophopora williamsii  is supposed to work as venom antidote as well.  Indeed one would not want to be in the position to discover the alleged efficacy of these sacraments, but it sure as hell wouldn't hurt to have them on hand.  My gf and I like to go hiking and exploring woods.  I want to have a medicine selection on hand with for various purposes, First Aid and beyond.

Kambo & Other Sacraments / Kratom
« on: June 17, 2014, 04:07:09 AM »
I hope I don't offend anyone by creating this thread, there are indeed many other places this plant could be discussed.  I am starting this because now that I have begun working with Kambo, my relationship with Kratom will undoubtedly change.  First off, let me explain that I have restless leg syndrome and have had to deal with the symptoms since I was a teenager, and have suffered countless nights without sleep.  Many years ago I went to a doctor whom prescribed something I will not mention since it does not occur naturally.  I was on this for roughly 8 years and used various other pharmaceuticals as well.  I was not happy being so dependent on an rx, and finally last summer I was able to wean myself off of the med.  I went on a spirit walk, which was a turning point, gave up smoking cigarettes as well. Cessation of smoking was not as difficult as getting off the pharmaceutical.  Getting to the point, I transitioned into using kratom at the end of the transition off the rx to help with withdrawls and underlying symptoms.

I have used these tree leaves on a daily basis now for almost a year.  My relationship with it is moderately healthy.  I can forsee myself removing this from my daily routine in the future; it is just another habit, although not as unhealthy as a synthetic substance.  I've found some spirituality in working with these trees, and they have been kind to me.

Working with kambo, I believe it to be appropriate to fast from food as well as kratom.  I did not seem to 'need' to dose for sometime after my kambo app.  I could see some potential for kambo disrupting my usage of these tree leaves and perhaps helping in removing the daily usage altogether.

Does anyone have any thoughts or feelings about the dynamics of kambo and kratom.  I am not opposed to kratom use, but daily use is not necessarily appropriate; I feel non-daily use can be very spiritual and I would recommend it as part of a preperation for ceremonial work.

I have no experience with eboka, I am curious about how long I would need to abstain from kratom before using that sacrament; wrong place to ask I know, but I'm kind of speaking my mind and feelings here, I know there's some wise souls here.  Please feel free to share what you think and feel about this.

Lastly, would anyone recommend a specific way to work with both sacraments?  I would Not be inclined to work with both at the same time, I would think it to be a contradiction of sorts.  There's so many active peptides, the body is purging, and these trees don't really have the same dynamics.  Seems a bit of an opposition.  However, maybe there's an appropriate incorporation somewhere maybe days after the experience?  I'm not seeking to incorporate, but am open to suggestions since I currently use it daily.

Thanks for letting me speak my mind.  :)

Diet before and after / Re: hydration is key for the full experience
« on: June 17, 2014, 03:24:59 AM »
Wow, thanks!  I never knew this about potassium!  I could always feel the ease with which my body would hydrate if I had it, but the oxygenation bit is very significant.  I've been trying to consume more potassium with bannanas.  A packet of emergen-c helps if I'm in a bind and have eaten some salty food.  I'm honestly kind of tired of consuming foods with salt, even if with natural sea salt, I seem to become dehydrated easily.

Damn, nice links, I appreciate the info.

I know this hasn't been touched in a while, but I think this is relevant...

I consumed a liter of coconut water a couple of hours before Kambo, in addition to water and some fruit juice.  Coconut water has always been kind to me and helped me feel hydrated after having foods with salt.  But... it does have a sodium content itself.  Forgive my ignorance, but, would this type of sodium be a contraindication for Kambo fasting?  What's the consensus on coconut water for proper hydration and pre Kambo appplication?

I stumbled upon a bio-assay of a participant who was given papaya juice and water pre application.  Going back to hydration, this would make sense over just plain water exclusively, which I don't think is as effective as other choices.  I wonder if there would be additional benefits from the papaya juice in removing toxins or aiding in the medicinal process.

What is could be considered a great source of water?  Blessing the water is a fantastic idea and I would like to incorporate that ritual.  I'm not sure what my best water source option would be where I'm located.
