Title: Kambo with maca
Post by: SapoVerde on July 22, 2013, 11:16:37 AM
I don't know if maca is considered a sacrement or not, so sorry if this is the wrong forum. So I have an issue with lethargy after being on stimulants for a prolonged period of time and have started experimenting with maca. So far, I have used kambo once in an attempt to cure this lethargy (I have used it before a couple of years ago though, so I am not new to it). Has anyone here tried kambo while on maca? I'm researching it at the moment to make sure there are no dangerous interactions, but I can't find any info on the combo.

BTW I should mention that I feel synergy between maca and hape. The maca seemed to prolong the tranquil, meditative state, and add to it.

Kambo and Maca would be fine together. Maca is very safe and can be eaten in large quantities.
They are both beneficial and will only give benefit when used properly.

There are advices ( even in this forum, by Galega )  to consume only coocked Maca (boiled at least  5 mins ) because it has a toxic enzyme that heat destroys; that toxin causes gastrointestinal discomfort.
Maca extracts could not have this problem.

I use Raw Maca and have never had problems, so I can personally attest that this is more complicated than just what has been presented.

Not saying that advice has no validity, but I've also not had any problems with maca. And pretty sure I used raw maca.

The only kind I've like taste wise is Maca Magic.  Maybe they do something to make it digestable but it is marketed for the raw food community.  I'd like to try the toasted/roasted kind as well to compare and contrast.  I had about 3 kinds of Maca before the Maca Magic and could never handle the taste.
