General Discussion / post-kambo and hot/cold water on fresh scars?
« on: May 04, 2015, 10:46:21 AM »
Later this month I'm planning on self-applicating kambo. At the same time, half-a-week after that point, I had plans on being at a hot springs, and using the water (including potentially the very cold and the very hot pools). Is there a conflict here with either the physical open wounds being exposed to the water, or just unpleasant sensations for myself?

General Discussion / kambo soon after aya?
« on: April 08, 2015, 11:17:24 PM »
I am planning on partaking in an aya ceremony. While I prefer to have kambo before the aya to put me in a clearer state for the medicine, the current logistics arranged are such that there is a great kambo ceremony offered the day after (and another one four day after) the aya ceremony. Would there be a particular benefit that I may not be away of to having the kambo the day after the aya?

after an intense kambo treatment, how long is your face inflamed for? i noticed this effect can last at least a few days sometimes, and i'm a little paranoid there is a permanent effect in this regard.

General Discussion / please HELP - could this be from kambo?
« on: December 29, 2013, 06:47:26 PM »
My lymph node under my chin is inflamed and has been for at least the past six months.  I'm trying to think what things I was doing around the time I began noticing it that may be responsible, and honestly, kambo was the only lead I could think of. Six months ago I was doing a lot of kambo - and even though right now I exclusively stick to and prefer the traditional burn method - six months ago I was insufflating fairly often. Right now I'm afraid to do more kambo (burn method only) in fear that I would exacerbate the condition that may (and very may not) be caused by the kambo. (In fact I want to do it tonight before my Iboga booster / mini-flood session as I now it would help put me in a grounded state, but wondering if it may be a bad idea for my overall help.) What do you think? Am I mistakenly connecting dots (after all it could have been from an entirely different cause) or should I avoid kambo (even burn method)?

I still have iboga in my system (it's been close to but less than a month since), and I'm finding I need a lot of strength this next month. I feel kambo may be good, but I just want to make sure the kambo won't purge any of the iboga. (I've read that iboga stays in some of the fat cells of the body and is converted by the liver to nor-ibogaine, and a lot of whole-body purging is done with kambo, including that of yellow bile.) Any thoughts? A possibly warranted concern or not at all?

General Discussion / exercise before kambo ok?

Is it a bad idea to do aerobic exercise soon before kambo? Or could it possibly be helpful?

General Discussion / how long till puppy face fades?
« on: July 07, 2013, 12:36:13 AM »
It's been over a day since a kambo administration, and my face is still puppy... It's never stayed this puppy for so long for any of my many kambo treatment, and I am worried by the duration. Is this indeed strange or should I be reassured by a common occurrence of a prolong period of frog-face for others?

General Discussion / Re: Is kambo helpful for autoimmune disorders?
« on: January 07, 2013, 02:49:46 AM »
Chaga is an immune system modulator. If your immune system is running too high, like auto-immune, it'll bring it down. If your immune system is running to low, like an immunodeficiency, it'll bring it back up. So it modifies your immune system intelligently. So should help.

I bet Kambo could help as well, but I have to experience with that.

Nice! Chaga has actually been on my mind and in my research lately.

Hey, what about Reishi? I've read that it's also immune-modulating, but at the same time I've read it increases th1 cell activity, which makes me think it'd only be useful for th2 dominant people... is this right? (I know little about this...) I would really like to start Reishi for its other positive effects but concerned it may not be good for autoimmune.

PS: in my case the autoimmune disease it hashimoto's.

General Discussion / is kambo+caffeine dangerous?

Is it dangerous to have kambo if I have some caffeine (from a cup or two of green tea) in my system?

I know kambo is effective in strengthening immune function, but is it effective for any autoimmune disorders?

New update!

Half-an-hour ago, I snorted more kambo...

I'm not sure how much it was, since my scale wasn't working so well. I'd eye-ball it to slightly less than 10mg, but I really couldn't say for sure. Bad practice, I know, but here's what happened:

Within 5 seconds I felt the burn in my nostril, and within 10 seconds my body flared up and my heart began to beat with INTENSITY.

Here's the real kicker!
....a couple minutes in, I start to feel nauseous, and the purging begins!

The whole ordeal lasted slightly less than 6 minutes. Interestingly, after the main effects were over - and I had this last time I snorted but non of the times I burned my skin - I felt (and still feel) the after-effects of my teeth really hurting (last time lasting about an hour, beginning only after the 5-minute main effects finished). Like last time, I'm feeling an increased mental capacity and ability to write directly after the experience.

Can anybody outline, even if only briefly, how to apply kambo using DMSO?

Just an hour ago I insufflated around 5mg kambo. Effects became apparently almost immediately - 15 seconds it felt like (though I hadn't counted). Interestingly, they lasted for only 5 minutes! It was on the mild side (compared to a full kambo experience, anyhow)... not much nausea, but some heart-pounding, head-pounding, and mostly an intense red flushing throughout the body (and purple flushing in my hands). My nostril burned intensely, though now it's fine. I'm a little concerned of its possible effects on the nasal region, though, given right now it's very clogged. I shall wait and see how it is in the morning, and will insufflate another 5mg if there is no clogging. Good night, everyone!
