salt is used as an electrolyte to keep you from dehydrating. the liquids in your body; your cells, your membranes, contain a saline liquid. salt moves from areas of greater concentration to areas of less concentration. so by not using salt, you don't keep a balance. you purge salts out.

I personally do not use salt. I find that it is less hydrating and harder to hold in. Too harsh. I figure there's enough salts in my foods. Just make sure you're not dehydrated.

I like coffee. I don't drink coffee because it gives short lasting jittery, edgy energy (FOR ME), is too acidic, and too much a laxative on my stomach. I feel that coffees medicinal benefits lean more toward cleaning the bowel than giving energy.

KIAP prefers to use less harsher/acidic caffeine containing plants like Guayusa which have the same effect. caffeine stimulates the liver and gallbladder to release bile and toxins. I use these as well but I also sometimes use coffee. Since we have nice organic coffee. and organic things are hard to come by.

I filter the grinds out and just use the liquid. Also be careful about using coffee papers. Especially bleached. Coffee paper fibers can enter the coffee, although I'd be more worried about chemicals used to bleach the paper, like traces of chlorine bleach. We are trying to cleanse chemicals from the body, not add them. Good quality water is also noticeably better in effect. I even go as far as using my sacred spring water. Enemas are very hydrating, and much of the water gets absorbed into the body. That's why we want to choose a good quality water. Tap water contains, chlorine, fluoride, heavy metals, traces of pharmaceutical drugs that get recycled and bypass filtration.

Hope this helps.

Yes, Kambo with enema is extra cleansing and healing. I think enema after kambo is more useful because it's seems that kambo moves toxins into the elimination passageways. And an enema gets it out fully, rather than waiting for a bowel movement. Especially if you hadn't had purge out the back end with kambo.

I don't know what happened? KIAP? Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Luckily I have the anti-viral info I posted saved on my computer, because a friend of mine once had a scare with herpes but seems to be completely clear now.

ANTI-HERPES PROPERTIES.  Dr. Gary Null, mentioned above, places camu as #1 in effectiveness out of a list of 18 herbs for its anti-herpetic properties.  Herpes can take many forms, from the common cold sores to genital herpes and shingles, and in total affects about 80% of the US population.  Among practitioners who recommend it, camu is reputed to be faster and more effective against herpes than any other natural substance.  Some people who are very prone to outbreaks take a small amount daily as a preventative.  Others take an extra dose if they feel the tingling pain which precedes the formation of herpes blisters.  Loading up on camu can often ward off colds and flus as well.

A polysaccharide fraction from medicinal herb Prunella vulgaris downregulates the expression of herpes simplex virus antigen in Vero cells.
J Ethnopharmacol. 2004.
Herpes simplex viruses are pathogenic. With the emergence of drug-resistant strains of Herpes simplex virus, new antiviral agents, especially those with different modes of action, are urgently needed. Prunella vulgaris, a perennial plant commonly found in China and Europe, has long been used as a folk medicine to cure ailments. In this study, a polysaccharide fraction was prepared from Prunella vulgaris, and its effects on the expressions of Herpes simplex virus-1 and Herpes simplex virus-2 antigens in their host Vero cells were investigated with flow cytometry. The Herpes simplex virus antigen increased time-dependently in the infected cells, and Prunella vulgaris reduced its expression. The effective concentrations of Prunella vulgaris with 50% reductions of the Herpes simplex virus-1 and Herpes simplex virus-2 antigens were 20 and 20 microg/ml, respectively. The novelty of Prunella vulgaris is that it also reduces the antigen expression of acyclovir-resistant strain of Herpes simplex virus-1. After incubations with 25-100 microg/ml of Prunella vulgaris the Herpes simplex virus antigen-positive cells were reduced by 24-92%, respectively, showing that this polysaccharide fraction has a different mode of anti-Herpes simplex virus action from acyclovir. Results from this study show that Prunella vulgaris is effective against both the Herpes simplex virus-1 and Herpes simplex virus-2 infections, and flow cytometry offers a quantitative and highly reproducible anti-Herpes simplex virus drug-susceptibility assay.

Olive leaf extract
Quote
The active ingredients found in olive leaves are oleuropein (phytochemical), calcium elenolate and elenol acid, which are considered as natural antimicrobial agents. They make the virus inactive by acting on the outer protein coating. With regular usage of olive leaf extract, herpes simplex virus are destroyed or rendered nonfunctional. Besides these main components, olive leaf contains esters, hydroxytyrosol, polyphenols, flavonoids and several other antioxidant molecules, which collectively help in treating the symptoms of herpes

Did you know that as many as 90% of us have been exposed to this viral infection? And most people who have it show no symptoms! In 1969 the research of Dr. Renis working with the Upjohn company, proved that a compound of oleuropein from the olive leaf could kill all viruses, including the herpes virus(simplex, zoster, both oral and genital), against which it was tested. The virucidal activity of oleuropein was due to its interaction with the protein coat of the virus and not with its genetic material.

Olive leaf contains Oleurpein. When Oleuropein is taken orally it has been found to enhance immune function and in lab tests to be highly virucidal (kills viruses) including Herpes simplex type I, Herpes simplex type II, Herpes zoster,

Dr. Renis proved that oleuropein from olive leaf extract could kill herpes virus. In 1992 French biologists found that all of the herpes viruses were inhibited or killed by olive leaf. They included 28 references to the anti-viral action of oleuropein in their report. Olive leaf extract has an ability to interfere with critical amino acid production essential for viruses. It can penetrate infected cells directly and stop viral replication.

Cat's Claw
Quote
According to a 2009 report in the American Journal of Health System Pharmacy, Cat's Claw is a woody vine that grows wild in many parts of Central and South America. The inner bark of cat's claw has been used to make liquid extracts, capsules, teas and topical preparations that have been used for over 2,000 years in the treatment of conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, cancer, arthritis and viral infections such as herpes and HIV. Though clinical trial data are lacking, in vitro (cell culture) studies suggest that Cat's Claw has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and immune-stimulating properties that could help diminish viral replication and promote healing of lesions in herpes. According to NCCAM, when taken at recommended doses, cat's claw is associated with a low rate of side effects such as headache, dizziness and vomiting.

Ms. ------ , a 43 year old business person contracted CFS after a ‘flu like illness in 1996. She consulted me initially in 1999, at the time fulfilling the CDC and Oxford criteria for CFS. She was functioning on a Karnofsky scale of 70% at the time, being unable to fulfill a full day’s work.
Complicating the syndrome was an almost monthly recurrence of Type II herpes infection for which she was taking Zelitrex (Valaciclovir) constantly. We embarked on a pyramidal treatment program including enterohepatic, mitochondrial , neuroendocrine and immune support. She did well on the program over eight months, but still had significant recurrence of the Herpes lesions. She was able to go back to work but could not exercise without relapsing.
We commenced treatment with Sutherlandia in September 2000 after I heard about it at the South African Complementary Medicine Association (SACMA) conference. She had one more outbreak of herpes in October 2000 and since then had no recurrences. Her clinical condition also improved even further, notably improvements in the fatigue and her exercise tolerance. An Exercise test performed in a physiology lab show her to be only mildly exercise intolerant on the 24.October 2000. We have kept her on Sutherlandia, and to date the patient remains well-functioning with a Karnofsky scale of 90%.

Mushroom extracts including the Gypsy mushroom, Oyster mushroom, Shiitake, Reishi and Chaga have been found to have significant activity against the herpes simplex I and II viruses, and they are well-known to bolster the immune system in a variety of ways. Much of the earlier research on mushroom extracts was done in Japan and China until recently. Now we are seeing more promising studies in microbiology laboratories and cancer centers throughout the west. Mushroom extracts help strengthen the immune defenses, support the probiotics and fight many potentially pathogenic microorganisms that may threaten our well-being.

What is an acu finder? I use a Tui Na chinese massage book to find the points. How do you mark points? I just use a pen.

So out of seventy people, you've only had to give 4 more globules than you anticipated once? How do you judge how many kambo globs each person will need so well? Do you look at the persons age, weight, ect. and come up with numbers? Or is the protocol the same for all people, and you start them with a certain number of points, e.g. 5. And if so what is that number? 5? 6?

516
I fixed your posts. If I were you Id probably try it but that's just me. There are medicinal mushrooms like Chaga that are supposed to be immune-modulators and not immune boosting. You mentioned cooked herbs in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Remember that heat can destroy and break down compounds in foods. So raw herbs are better. Some plants are only really edible after steaming, or boiling though. I'd get yourself on a vegetarian, mostly raw plant food based diet and incorporate a bunch of juicing. Get off refined sugars. It's amazing how diet can change your life. Maybe some enemas, you mentioned IBS.

517
Thanks for your help KIAP. Sorry for straying off topic a bit. I try to get everything perfect but I'm still learning. Like at one point I applied the burns before getting the globules formed. When going for a high amount of points like 16 I splash a little water on the older dots as I'm adding the newer dots. to keep the medicine saturating the body and not having the globules dry up. I also did the last 6 closer to the head and heart to try to get a stronger reaction and commence purging.

Maybe some Wheatgrass juice could fill in for the snuff as something that would help the emetic effects.
Or really condensed Guayusa tea, which some tribes consume vast amounts of every 15 days to induce purging as an internal cleanse.

518
Okay so, of the three of us I'm really the only one who gets hardcore frog face. lol.

The one older brother, I gave 16 points to. And he still didn't puke! I made him drink water, burned the palo santo for him to smell, and told him to try inward burping.

But he did profusely sweat, feel like he was going to pass out at one point, and then finally had to shit. since he couldn't hold it and it was diarrhea I considered this a purge and didn't go further. Was this wrong? Would you have done the same? His skin was also a bit think and some burns didn't seem to penetrate the first layer. Some points I had to burn 2 times.

I was treating him for depression and tried to use the point in the arch of the foot but after 3 burns and no skin coming off, I gave up on that spot.

They both tried the inward burping and both said it didn't cause any intense effect. the one said it did nothing while the other said it helped the vomit come up.  ..I wanted to try it but kambo hit me hard and I couldn't even really sit up.

The last 2 times I did kambo I got yellow gook forming in my eyes, around the skin of my eyeballs. Like a sick person gets after sleeping. Have you ever seen this?

519
wait micro dosing aya beforehand had you seeing visions for up to 10 hours!? how do you mean? was this like a full on aya tripping?
and by aya do you mean vine + light or just vine?
I was thinking of microdosing Aya beforehand but I'd use just pure vine. lil sip of muricata to be specific.
...microdosing aya beforehand sounds nice. as does eating a gram of Eboka rootbark afterward. but I wouldn't want to do all 3.
the brain may get too cramped for those 3 energies lol. so which do you prefer? and feel free to elaborate on their effects.

I've treated people that the swelling lasted for 8 days for one person (male) and 5 days for another person (male).  This is full on swelling here.  Seems like siding on caution would be prudent if you are concerned.
This worries me. I'm going to administer to two brothers who live with their mom and work regular jobs...
Can you tell me how many people you have treated so I can get some kind of estimate of the risk percentage of this happening? Like if this was 2 out of 30 I won't be so worried but I'd be very hard pressed to find 30 people willing to do Kambo so I'm thinking the percentage is probably higher? PM me if you don't feel comfortable posting the answer to that.

While for some this is part of the goal I can't say that everyone wants to take it so far.

So I will be applying Kambo to two friends soon. And want to recommend them try this. Is there a warning I should give with this? They really seem to need some healing so if a few burps make them purge more, it sounds like a great technique. But I'm not sure why you said everyone might not want to take it so far. Does it make the medicine feel WAY more intense? If it just causes a harder purge than I don't really want to warn against it. As the purging is such an important part of the healing.

The Beautiful Truth
"Raised on a wildlife reserve in Alaska, 15-year-old Garrett was interested in the dietary habits of the farm animals. After the tragic death of his mother, Garrett's father decided to home-school his son and assigned a book written by Dr. Max Gerson that proposed a direct link between diet and a cure for cancer. Fascinated, Garrett embarks in this documentary on a cross-country road trip to investigate The Gerson Therapy. He meets with scientists, doctors and cancer survivors who reveal how it is in the best interest of the multi-billion dollar medical industry to dismiss the notion of alternative and natural cures."

The Gerson Miracle
"The Gerson Miracle examines many of the elements of the Gerson Therapy, explaining why we are so ill and how we have in our grasp the power to recover our health without expensive, toxic or mutilating treatments, using the restorative forces of our own immune systems. Even the most advanced cases of cancer can be successfully reversed using this method. While the results seem miraculous, the real "miracle" lies within our own body and its healing processes."

Cat's Claw & Jergon Sacha
"But that wasn’t the only time that happened. A friend of mine, Alan
Shoemaker,
moved to Peru in 1993 and within a year or
two learned that his mother, who lived in Kentucky, was dying of liver
cancer. She had been
given just a few weeks to live. In desperation,
Alan asked me to drink with him at Juan’s and
try to see his mother and see what she might
need to get healed.
It was a crazy request: I wasn't a curandero;
I didn't know his mother; I had no chance of
finding anything that might help her. Nonetheless, because he asked, I
agreed to try.
During that dream, I thought of Alan’s
mother and when I did found myself hurtling
through space and winding up on a street in a
small town in what felt like the United States.
I imagined Alan’s mother must live nearby and
wondered in which house she lived. Instantly I
was moving again, but surprisingly didn't come
out into a kitchen or living room. Instead I sort
of wound up in someone’s insides. I guessed
it was Alan’s mother’s insides. I’d never seen
a human liver before but was looking at one
the moment I thought of it. On top of the dark
brown mass was a twisted clump of some sort
of tubing. I thought it must be the cancer and
lifted it to see what it was made of. I realized it
didn't seem like cancer—whatever that would
seem like—but rather that the tubes bringing
things to the liver for cleaning were all tangled
and nothing could get through them and so
were sort of killing the liver. I thought that
if those tubes could get untangled somehow
then the junk in them could pass into the liver
to be eliminated. I silently asked if there was
anything that could do that. In a moment I
thought of uña de gato, cat’s claw, now well
known as a medicine but hardly known at all
15  years ago.
When I came out of the dream I wrote the
words “cat’s claw” down on a piece of paper.
In the morning Alan asked me what I’d
seen. I was embarrassed to tell him for fear of
misguiding him with the uña de gato. When I
relented I showed him the paper. He laughed.
“Yes. I saw uña de gato and I also saw sacha
jergon,” another Amazonian medicine.
That day or the next he made up a good
batch of the two medicines and sent it off to
his mom. She drank it religiously and within
a few weeks or months the cancer was in total
remission."

Dangerously low white blood cell counts of about 1,000 (typical of leukemia) rose to 3,000 in only 20 days.
Urine radioactivity levels decreased by 50 percent in 20 days."

"Spirulina has a number of blood-strengthening properties, as found by this 2001 animal study from China. The study concluded that spirulina has chemo-protective and radio-protective capabilities and shows potential for fighting cancer. Immune cells in your blood are highly radiosensitive and considered to be good indicators for biological effects taking place at the molecular level.

Spirulina somehow helps shield cells from gamma radiation, as shown by this study on the bone marrow of mice.

Spirulina helps to protect your kidneys, which are some of the FIRST organs to suffer damage after significant radiation exposure. Research suggests spirulina helps protect from the nephrotoxicity of cancer treatments, antibiotics and analgesics."

"One of the primary ways exercise lowers your risk for cancer is by reducing elevated insulin levels, which creates a low sugar environment that discourages the growth and spread of cancer cells. Controlling your insulin levels and optimizing your vitamin D level are two of the most powerful steps you can take to reduce your cancer risk. For example, physically active adults experience about half the incidence of colon cancer as their sedentary counterparts, and women who exercise regularly can reduce their breast cancer risk by 20 to 30 percent compared to those who are inactive.

Additionally, exercise improves the circulation of immune cells in your blood. Your immune system is your first line of defense against everything from minor illnesses like a cold right up to devastating, life-threatening diseases like cancer.

The trick about exercise, though, is understanding how to use it as a precise tool. This ensures you are getting enough to achieve the benefit, not too much to cause injury, and the right variety to balance your entire physical structure and maintain strength and flexibility, and aerobic and anaerobic fitness levels. This is why it is helpful to view exercise like a drug that needs to be carefully prescribed to achieve its maximum benefit."

Diet before and after / Kambo while fasting
« on: February 26, 2013, 04:03:48 AM »
I am about to begin day 4 of a fast. I'd like to pretty much end the fast with a kambo ceremony. Has anyone done kambo while fasting? I'm wondering how much stronger this could make the kambo. Meaning my energy is cleaner and more sensitive and I'm thinking I may purge with less points. I'm wondering also if being clean from fasting and enemas will make the experience much easier. mother aya really likes a fasted body. I'm also slightly worried about fainting. I do kambo alone on myself but I'll be sitting/laying on my bed before standing up/leaning over to purge.

I'd also been rolling the idea of Niacin flush + Kambo in my head, wondering if this could help the cleanse. Obv starting low. any thoughts?
EDIT: Just found out apparently there's not really any proof of niacins detoxifying abilities and there's discrepancy about it.

I agree with caiano.
