General Discussion / Kambo.me
« on: May 07, 2016, 10:15:14 AM »
Kambo.me is now a direct link to the forum.

EDIT:

Our Tech Admin who takes care of the work server side and helps to keep us running fixed the forum to be accessed directly at Kambo.me
And has made me aware of why this domain name is important to keep:

Quote
the main issue here is that you are using a USA based top level domain (.org) and the reason why we are not using any USA based top level domain is that we do not want an extradition to the USA:

https://www.dmt-nexus.me/forum/default.aspx?g=posts&m=254448#post254448

So for this we cannot allow any USA based top level domains for any of our sites. I hope you understand.

p.s. I have made the original kambo.me page now go directly to kambo.me/smf

Kind regards,

The Traveler

I had tried to register a kambo forum .org domain name so users would not have to locate us by typing http://kambo.me/smf/index.php
But many thanks to our friend The Traveler, who also helps run our friends dmt-nexus.me, for sorting this out.

Are you male, female? What is the purpose you are taking hormones for? Perhaps you should stop taking synthetic hormones and let your body's natural intelligence try to find its balance again. I recently had a very bad experience taking some synthetic hormones and ended up in the hospital with jaundice.

I don't know much about thyroidal hormones but here's an example of a post I recently made on black cohosh:
Quote
It's selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) compounds were found to be non-estrogenic and anti-estrogenic at receptors in the hypothalmus, bone, liver, brain, and arteries primarily.

Synthetic SERMS are usually taken with prohormones and steroids by bodybuilders to minimize effects from excess testosterone being converted to estrogens.

Usually SERMs are estrogenic at some receptors and anti at others and the point is to get the benefits of estrogen and none of the negative effects by blocking the receptors from the free-flowing estrogens in the body. The fact that they bind at estrogen receptor sites still makes them estrogens (they still have estrogenic effects).

Natural black cohosh doesn't. It can be used all the time and to greater effect.

Black cohosh binds at these estrogen receptor sites but doesn't cause any estrogen-like effects and is anti-estrogenic, which would mean it would clean any natural estrogens in your body from effecting you by blocking the receptors. Like those artificial estrogens/hormone disrupters like those that are leached from plastic water bottles.

Most aphrodisiac herbs probably also play a role in gently boosting the body's natural sex hormones. Here is an herbalism podcast about hypothyroidism:

General Discussion / Kambo.tk Moving to a New Domain.
« on: May 03, 2016, 05:05:35 AM »
Greetings all,

After years of using the free .tk domain name service, they are now redirecting traffic and scam parking domains.

I have purchased a new domain. And it should be up within 24 hrs.
I will post the name once it is activated, shortly. Until then I will refrain so that there is no possibility of anyone cybersquatting it.

For now please update any bookmarks from Kambo.tk to http://kambo.me/smf/index.php
This link will continue to work even when the new domain name is activated.

Sorry for this inconvenience, it is being resolved immediately; as we are upgrading to a payed domain registrar.

Thank you for spending your time with us.

EDIT: Apparently domain name registration can take up to 72 hours.

Video / The Mirror of the Spirit (Ayahuasca Documentary)
« on: May 01, 2016, 01:23:24 PM »
"João Meirinhos created a compelling and sublime documentary that reaffirms the power of the world's greatest traditional medicine, ayahuasca. Assembling an impressive cast of traditional practitioners, aficionados and western converts, 'Mirror of the Spirit' bubbles like the brew itself to reveal the essence of the ayahuasca experience. And, like the ayahuasca vine, it entwines the viewer with an authentic and compelling message that is hard to resist.
Grounded in strong ethnographic roots, 'Mirror of the Spirit' captures the spirit of this eclectic mix of contributors all of whom have been transformed by the power of the medicine in a myriad different ways. Once again we are reminded that the message of ayahuasca is more relevant today than at any point in our history."

Video / Ibogaine: Rite of Passage (Iboga Documentary)
« on: May 01, 2016, 08:08:14 AM »
Ibogaine is a substance that is derived from the root of an African plant that grows in Gabon. This plant is originally used during initiations of the Bwiti culture, but in the sixties the anti-addictive properties of this psychoactive substance were discovered by Howard Lotsof.

Ibogaine is surrounded by controversy. The decisions about the use of Ibogaine in the treatment of addiction appear to be made on political and economical, rather than rational basis.

Despite the results that show the efficacy of Ibogaine, the pharmaceutical companies and the government show no interest and stay skeptical. Ibogaine has provided us with more insight in the mechanisms of addiction and the question if it needs to be used for treating this huge western problem gets more and more acknowledgment.

Cy (34) has been using a mixture of heroine and amphetamine for about 11 years, but his three children and his ambitions are more valuable to him. Kicking his addiction is a tough job for him. It reveals all his suppressed emotions.

Moussavou (22) lives in the village Mitoné in Gabon. For her the traditional African initiation is part of healing process. She suffered from an illness for more than a year and she hopes that eating the holy plant will be the starting point of a new phase in her life.

This 50 minute documentary shows the different aspects of this special substance by means of personal experiences and explanations of ex-addicts, treatment providers and experts.

Video / Metamorphosis (Ayahuasca Documentary)
« on: May 01, 2016, 07:14:54 AM »
Ayahuasca has been used by Shamans and those they help for hundreds if not thousands of years. Found all over the Amazon, Ayahuasca and it's incredible ability to heal has been slowly but steadily creeping into western consciousness. Metamorphosis is a documentary that follows several westerners as they undergo five Ayahuasca ceremonies and experience the gamut of emotions - from utter fear to outright ecstasy. It also explores the shamans who work with the medicine as well as all the key elements of an Ayahuasca ceremony. The film also tells the story of Hamilton Souther, who earlier in life had no belief of and in spirit. After having a spiritual awakening, Hamilton is led to the Amazon where he apprentices as an Ayahuascero, or person who practices medicine with Ayahuasca. Hamilton and Maestro Don Alberto (an indigenous master shaman for over thirty years that practices with Hamilton) take us through the ceremonies as well as explain the meaning behind them.

Video / Dirty Pictures (Alexander Shulgin Documentary)
« on: May 01, 2016, 07:12:48 AM »
Alexander Sasha Shulgin is the scientist behind more than 200 psychedelic compounds including MDMA, more commonly known as Ecstasy.

Considered to be one of the greatest chemists of the 20th century, Sasha s vast array of discoveries have had a profound impact in the field of psychedelic research, making him a subject of fascination and controversy among fellow scientists and a folk hero to recreational users of psychedelics.

Dirty Pictures uncovers the lifework of Dr. Shulgin and takes viewers inside his Northern California home where he lives with his wife of 40 years and continues to carry out experiments in a makeshift laboratory.

Director Etienne Sauret likewise delves into the broader world of psychedelic research where the fields of chemistry, neuroscience and philosophy intersect and investigates whether or not this particular field could aid in solving the deepest mysteries of the human mind.

« on: May 01, 2016, 06:46:05 AM »

"I am the woman who was born alone
I am the woman who fell alone
I am the woman who waits
I am the woman who seeks
I am the woman who looks inward
I am the woman who looks under the water
I am the sacred swimmer
Because I can swim in greatness.

I am the moon woman
I am the woman who flies
I am the meteor woman
I am the woman of the sandal constellation
I am the woman of the cane constellation
I am the star woman
God
Because I've gone to these places since the beginning.

I am the woman of breeze
I am the woman of fresh dew
I am the woman of dawn
I am the woman of twilight.

I am the woman who blossoms
I am the woman who was uprooted
I am the woman who cries
I am the woman who whistles
I am the woman who makes noise
I am the woman who plays the drum
I am the woman who plays the trumpet
I am the woman who plays the violin
I am the woman who cheers
Because I am the holy clown.

I am the sunstone woman
I am the daylight woman
I am the woman who makes things revolve
I am the woman of heaven
I am the woman of good
I am the pure woman
I am the woman of spirit
Because I can enter and I can leave the kingdom of death.

I am the woman who draws out
I am the woman who cleanses
I am the woman who cures
I am the woman who sets right
I am the woman of herbs
I am the woman wise in language
Because I am the woman wise in medicine."

So I popped one pill, and awaited its effects. The effects came on relatively quickly. I felt slightly sedated, so I plopped on my bed for a nap.

I looked at the ceiling and the walls seem to be moving slightly, and it looked like my rods and cones were more visible than usual. Just minor benadryl-like hallucinations.

It reminded me of kava kava herb which is a sedative and mild psychedelic.
