Title: possible sepsis/blood poisoning?!
Post by: meteor on December 29, 2013, 06:53:23 PM
hi kambo forum,

ive used kambo over 10 times succesfully from 5 -11 points on diff. body parts and to good effect.
always fasting a min. of 12 h. and drinking 2 liter of warm water before.

this time ive done 11 points (little diameter) on the underside of the left forearm, near and on the vein.
it was a long session with puking many times.
ive left the medicine over 45min. on the spots and turned the kambo points a few times, while holding it moist to absorb better.
the spot where the sapo was administered was very red, swollen and hot. also it burned while it was on..

after i finished, my friend who also did kambo just befor me (from the same stick,9 points on the upper right arm)
noticed a kind of redness on the underside of my arm. it was a red , slightly blueish thick line going all the way up till under my armpit.
i was slightly worried because normally this is a sign of a sepsis/bloodpoisoning.
made a little sign with a pen to look if its moving forward. the red line dissapeared into my torso.
i was feeling very beaten up from that session. more than usual.
i also slept a very long time that night...11,5 hours.
today i feel a tweaking in the region where my liver and kidneys are.
the swelling on the forearm dissapeared over the night.
felt a little sluggish today...not the usual after kambo feeling.

normally when something like this occurs, one is advised to go straight to the hospital because this is a sign of sepsis/blood poisoning and can be life treatening.

what do you think?
anything like this happened before?

please ask if you have questions and thank you very much for answers!

Could be a poisoning occured in the process. The tools you've used (knife or spoon etc) would be my guess.

Also, I've never left it for 45 minutes, usually 5 to 10 minutes are enough.

One of the things that can happen if you do too much Kambo is that it leaves you vulnerable for example to infections.

So if some uncleanliness, combined with a too heavy purge, it could lead to something like this...

My intuition is that you are over reacting but alas only time will tell.  I've left Kambo dots on for 2 weeks with the help of Sangre de Grado to keep them secure and experienced no ill effects.  I've also left it on numerous times for long periods with no ill effect.  Hope all is well.

I also applyed once three points on that same area: it was  a bad idea. That part of the arm  i found does not  tolerate well the venom; it became red, hot and swollen very easily.
